I-Shou University offers a number of degree programs at various levels to international students, as follows
Doctoral programs in electrical engineering, information engineering, biotechnology and chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, postgraduate programs in management, and industrial engineering and management.
Master’s programs in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineering, information management, civil and ecological engineering, mechanical and automation engineering, materials science and engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology and chemical engineering, industrial engineering and management, postgraduate programs in management, business administration, finance, public policy and management, applied English, applied Japanese, and healthcare administration.
Bachelor’s programs in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineering, information management, communication engineering, chemical engineering, civil and ecological engineering, mechanical and automation engineering, materials science and engineering, applied mathematics in computer science, applied mathematics in financial mathematics, industrial engineering and management, biomedical engineering, biological science and technology, medical imaging and radiological sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical nutrition, nursing, healthcare administration, health management, undergraduate program in management*, business administration, finance, accounting, international business, public policy and management, mass communication, applied English, applied Japanese, hospitality management, tourism, and leisure management.
*For international students interested in studying in accounting, finances, business administration, international business at I-Shou University, we offer a special class called “Delayed Major Admission Program” in College of Management. Students in this program may enroll into a common management program without committing to a major study domain till sophomore year.
Eligibility An individual who meets one of the items listed below shall apply as an international student:
(1) The applicant does not hold an ROC nationality.
(2) The applicant has obtained a degree as a foreign student from a senior high school, college or university formally recognized by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in Taiwan and would like to pursue a further degree. International students with a degree from a foreign high school, a domestic school for oversea Chinese or the bilingual section of a national high school can apply for undergraduate programs at ISU. Those with a bachelor degree are eligible for Master programs and those with Master’s degree are eligible for PhD programs. Those who apply under the provisions of equivalent qualification will have their applications processed according to the latest regulations of the MoE in effect.
(3) Requirements of foreign undergraduates who would like to transfer to ISU are required to submit a copy of transcript for previous years for bachelor programs in this university will follow the same regulations for general transfer applicants. Applicants under these regulations may apply for and then be transferred to the second year level (or the third year of similar nature) of the bachelor programs.
Note: According to Article 2 of the Law of Nationality, a person who meets one of the following requirements acquires Republic of China nationality:
(1) A person whose father or mother was, at the time of his (her) birth, a citizen of the Republic of China.
(2) A person born after the death of his (her) father or mother who was, at the time of his (her) death, a citizen of the Republic of China.
(3) A person born in the territory of the Republic of China whose parents are both unknown or are stateless.
(4) A naturalized person. Note, An expatriate who has renounced ROC nationality after September 30, 1999 can not apply for status as an international student.

Applicants may choose to submit the application by each submission deadline with the required data mentioned above, and any other documents required by the target department. Application later than the second submission deadline will be processed for inclusion in the next academic year.
